[OFFICIAL] US Uncut "PAY UP!" Flashmob at Bank of America 4/15/11 Video

US Uncut, in collaboration with The Ruckus Society and Brass Liberation Orchestra (BLO), kicked off Tax Day weekend (Friday afternoon 4/15/11) in San Francisco with a flashmob at Bank of America and told them to "PAY UP!"

Bank of America is the #1 largest bank and the 5th largest corporation in the U.S., but it pays less in taxes than the average American household! If they and their corporate tax dodger friends paid their fair share of taxes (like the rest of us), we wouldn't 'need' to slash community services in the budget.

It's time Bank of America pays their taxes! So we took action to tell them just that.

Dozens of activists took Bank of America employees by surprise downtown San Francisco Friday, by breaking out in a song and dance in the middle of the bank, to the tune of Salt-n-Pepa's classic hit, "Push It", re-mixed as "Pay Up!"

The Commerce Clause ...
The Commerce Clause specifics that the Federal Govt shall govern commerce between the states and with indian tribes. Specifically, it was put in place to keep the states from having trade wars, i.e. Georgia putting a? tarrif on goods coming in from Florida. It was expanded to include goods trafficed on waterways when New York tried to tax goods shipped on the Erie Canal. It was never intended for the Commerce Clause to be used to force people to purchase a product like insurance.

that is a? complete fallacy. The Constitution guarantees through Commerce Clause that WE THE PEOPLE (via OUR Representatives) have control of the economy! What has happened is that business has hijacked OUR govt with "legal" bribery, not the other way around. Our politicians, SCOTUS and Prez are bought puppets of corps. That is never the intention of OUR Constitution, but bought SCOTUS has unConstitutionally misintrepeted corporations to be "personhoods" and money to be "speech".

Because the politicians are actually able to do something for the corporations or banks. If the politicians couldn't get involved in economic matters (as is true in a real free market) the corporations or banks would not finance them, as they would derive no benefit from them.? Therefore, your protest should be against the gov't so that gov't cannot get involved in the economy.

@Yankhadenough Like I said, corporations and banks can't take over government without the consent of the government officials. You should be protesting the government, not businesses. The government is the root of the corruption of a free economy. Also, the government exists to serve all individuals not just the majority, even including businessmen. Businessmen are the most discriminated against? in our current culture. Laws that apply to everyone are the only laws to be considered.

@Strat765 You need to understand the problem here is government laws, not the bank. Banks couldn't do things like this if the government enforced objective laws that apply to everybody. If you really want to solve this problem, you should be talking about the government and getting them? to change their laws.
